It's amazing to see our commercial dehydrators in the production of all sorts of products around the country, especially when it's new food products that are super healthy but also coming from beautiful natural places like Alaska. Forage & Found1 is doing an incredible job with using what is abundant in their local area and supplying the US with superfood that is low impact on the environment.

Foraged & Found1 manufactures pantry staples from wild-forgaed superfoods harvested from our remote Alaskan island home. Our product lines focuses on wild-harvested aquatic plants such as kelp and salicornia. We are a small, women-owned business with a lot of logistical challenges to overcome, and preservation of raw material is always top-of-mind. Our wild materials only grow during a short season, yet the need for material exists year-round. With freezer space limited in our facility and zero options for rented freezer space in our community, we knew we were going to have to get creative.
