Dehydrated Peach | Commercial Dehydrators

Dried peaches are a tasty and portable snack that is rich in Vitamin A and juicy, sweet flavor. Dried peaches are great used in trail mixes, cake batters, chutneys, pies, cobblers and chewy granola bars. They can also be used as cupcake decorations and toppings for yogurt or ice cream.

  • Peaches
  • 1 cup lemon juice
  • 1 cup water
  • Boiling water

Instructions
  1. In a bowl, mix together equal amounts of lemon juice and water.
  2. Blanch the peaches in boiling water for just 1 minute. Remove from the hot water and set aside to cool to room temperature.
  3. Peel off the skins with your hands or a knife (if necessary). Remove, bad spots, bruises and discard the skins.
  4. Cut peaches into slices (thick or thin) then drop in the lemon water for a few minutes.
  5. Drain the peach slices in a colander and arrange on dehydrator trays.
  6. Dehydrate at 135°F for 8-12 hours.
  7. Let cool completely then transfer to airtight containers and place in a cool, dry and dark place.
